Saturday Tafsir Classes

Following on from our third successful series of Tafsir Al Quran: Surah Al Hujurat, we are delighted to announce that we will be starting our fourth series: Surah Al Ahzab. Join us as our Imaam Haaris delves into one of the most mesmerising prophetic stories in the Quran, teaching us many lessons such as the importance of having patience and God-consciousness and how we can implement them in our lives.

The Prophet Mohammed (saww) in his last sermon said: “I leave behind me two things, the Quran and the Sunnah (Hadith), and if you follow these you will never go astray.”

This hadith proves that reading and understanding the Quran is key to a steadfast life under the guidance of Allah, after the Prophet’s (saww) demise.

Iyaas ibn Mu’aawiyah once said,

“The individual who recounts the Quran and doesn’t have a clue about its clarification/ explanation resembles a gathering of individuals who have a composed message from their ruler that comes to them during the night, and they don’t have a lamp to read it.

Therefore, they don’t have the foggiest idea of what is in the message. The example of the one who knows Tafsir resembles an individual who comes to them with a light and tells them what is in the message”
